Dishonest doctors

Sunday, July 14, 2013

stop seeing doctors in 2008, didn't see any doctors in 2009. If I had a problem I felt was bad enough went to the emergency room as since most doctors now work for Corporations who are paid 6 figure incomes and told to diagnosis a certain number of heart deise, diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure or over state the blood and place on certain drugs even though you tell them you were on that before and it cause all kinds of problems including weight gain and steady rise in blood sugar. The reason why I use emergency is because they address the problem that brought me there and not turn it into something its not making the visit all about chronic illnesses.
So I went to see a doctor in April of 2010 for a pain in my side and the doctor ordered blood work and decided to ignore the pain and tried to place me on medication I didn't need. So obviously I never went back to that doctor, later that year I went to a different doctor and she stopped my meds and placed me on one that made my blood pressure rise. That drug was labetalol and I went back and had her prescribe the lisinopril and spironolactone which works well and with side affects. Went back a week later and my blood pressure was down. well needless to say I didn't see any doctors for 2 years and my blood pressure was fine. Started seeing doctors due to stress after the death of my baby brother and for a little whole my blood pressure was high and now doctors still wants to but me on labetalol and remove the other medicines that works.

Finding someone that will help you manage your health without adding stress/future issues to the problem is challenging...I hope you find one that works for you!

    Good morning Yolanda,
I so sorry to read about your doctors not listening to you.
I am going through the same thing with my doctor with high blood pressure med. I have been on it for 1 year and I've gained weight. I don't like the weight. It's hard on me.
I hope you'll find another doctor.
