Monkey Mind!

Saturday, July 13, 2013

Today was a day off - total day off.

No running (I did a longer run yesterday and I needed today to recover)

Not working
(not even looking at work that I brought with me to review during the weekend)

and most of all, some relax time!

1) Started the day with a nice breakfast
2) Did the weekend chores!!!(groceries and bank -almost an activity, I enjoy doing it!)
3) Went for a short hike
3) Had a massage... and this is the start of this blog!!!

The point of having a massage for me is to relax and loose up my legs...
I was trying to be in the moment, but it was very difficult for me not to think!
My mind was spinning and going from one topic to another!
Work... stop think about this... plan the vacations and book hotel rooms... stop! relax... breathe and think about breathing.... what can I make for dessert? hum...

You get the point!

In this case, I find that trying to visualize something not related to any of my worry and calm can help me.

So today, I went back thinking about my visit to the aquarium!
I got there (in my mind) because to get to the massage office, I have to drive by a Huge Fish Store!

So here is a few pictures of my visit to the Houston Aquarium (Tx).

I like the froggy!!!

Big and friendly?

Kinda scary!!!

(I saw some when we were snorkeling ...)

c OO l!!!

... and don't ask me why, but the white tiger is also at the aquarium !

emoticon Gotta go, my daughter is waiting for me to watch Frankenweenie

    Hi Julia,

I know what you mean about not being able to relax your mind at times. That was a great idea to think about the aquarium. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures! Great white tiger too, although I feel sorry for him in a cage. Good for you about getting a massage!!! Hope the rest of your week is wonderful!

A hike is not resting but I guess the massage made up for it.
That is weird about the tiger. I don't think I've seen any mammals at any aquarium I've been to....other than the humans ;-)
