So today is my R&R day
I have found that in the past if I don't take a rest day I get soooo tired through the next week that I feel almost burnt out...so in order to prevent that feeling I always have taken a rest day
Just read this the other day in the oxygen magazine...."Active recovery days can help send blood flow to your muscle tissues, flush out inflammatory molecules and replace glycogen stores, which reduces soreness and aids in recory. But it's important to take at least one complete rest day per week to give your body the opportunity to fully heal." There for my complete rest day is justified!.... So Do you take a full day to rest? Just curious.
Yesterday I did this workout called "Pioxing Power Sculpt 1" this workout zoomed in on the lower body but for some reason my core is really awesomely SORE!! This 15 minute short but intense workout made my whole body sore! But the core really got it!! I haven't been this sore in ages...I do try really hard to get this sore...sure I get sore but not like this! LOVING the feeling of a fantastic workout!! LOL more muscle!!
So today is not only my R&R day its my FREE DAY!! I woke up thinking about the puffed wheat cake my mom made yesterday and had some for breakfast! YUM! And had some homemade potato salad right after...yummie....must say LOVE FREE DAYS!!
I just love the idea of scarfing down food (within reason of course) to trick my body and mind into losing more in the following days to come!!
