No more trash TV

Saturday, July 13, 2013

I'll admit it. I love TV. In summer I have more time to watch until I go back to teaching. So catching up on programs, and watching different ones are what I love to do. In order to feel better about it, I leave the tv on and "work" around the house. While the honesty button has been pushed, I'll confess there is more watching than working. the TV goes. I want to do my chores and create more time to be physically active. Spark Cheers!

You sound like DH. When he comes inside, he turns the tv on...even if he isn't planning to just sit and watch. He likes having it on because it's how he unwinds after work. I, on the other hand, can go all day and never turn on the tv. I love the quiet because it's so rarely quiet around me. But now, the computer gets me every time. I think, well let me just check one thing and an hour later, I'm still surfing the web. I use it as a reward...after I workout and get my housework done.

Oh, I love TV, too! And summers. That's when most of us teachers can catch up on everything we missed during the school year.

I know what you mean about more watching than working....I've found myself doing the same thing. What helps me is to switch off the show and play some music instead. My satellite gives me access to Pandora through the TV, so that's what works for me.
