Water, How much is enough ?

emoticon After many failed attempts at meeting a goal of 8 cups of water a day I finally found a to get my water for the day .

I carry a gallon of water with me , sounds crazy . I am sure you have seen it or if not you do it your self .

I average a gallon a day and sometimes more . In the beginning it used to be forced. I would hate to drink the water and now its normal . I drink when I am thirsty and when I feel like I wanted to eat , most times I am just thirsty . I have learned the difference between feed me now and I am bored so lets eat emoticon
Though I still have my moments .

So water how much is enough ? How much do you have to drink to keep from being thirsty ?

I'm asking this because for the past 2 days I have gone to bed and awaken thirsty , I drink and yet I am still thirsty . emoticon

I take my blood pressure pill every day , 100mg losartan . I have been paying attention to my salt intake and i cook all my foods now . I desperately try to not add any extra salt to anything and my beloved hot sauce , i actually measure that out to only 1sp emoticon

Okay so I am probably freaking out just a tad bit but maybe being thirsty is a good thing instead of being hungry ?

Anyways , despite my concern for my thirst I am happy to say that I get my water a day .

I remember struggling to get the minimum amount of water. I cant not even say how many reusable water bottles I went through or filter bottles . Brita, Bobble , Plastic Reusable Bottles.

Drinking from a gallon jug has for sure been key to me . In hawaii we dont get money for the gallon jugs if you recycle. Most times I just recycle it anyways . I have a few friends that are teachers and they find ways to use it for arts and craft projects.

Today I am at work till 315, costco trip after work . Then home to do laundry and play with my treadmill. Planning on doing 30 mins on a 5% incline .

Nothing special today .

What are you planning for the weekend ?

Working weekends , has its drawbacks and I hope one day I can find a job where I have weekends off .

Tues , my heart rate monitor comes in , I hope it fits my wrist . that is the 2nd thing I cant not wait for ! . FAT WRIST BE GONE ! along with chubby cheeks and fat eyes . I swear I think my eyes are bigger , but you cant tell with the chubby cheeks and heavy eyelids ..

    Hey if it works, it works. If you have to carry water around like a camel, so be it. Good job.

    The interesting thing about thirst is that it comes from the same area of the brain that sends out hunger signals - many times when we think we are hungry we are actually thirsty.

    I really have no idea how much is too much and how much is enough water. I usually drink between 8 and 12 cups a day. This amount helps me get my steps in everyday because I have to go to the bathroom all the time!

    When you wake up thirsty, try drinking warm or hot water. I find that helps calm my "thirst" without feeling like I need to guzzle enough to feel bloated. Might be just psychological, but it works for me.
