So I started the month of July already 1 pound up from June. I can deal with that because we (DH & I) are tweaking the whole healthy eating schedule.
For so many years I have panicked every time I tried to lose weight and ended with a gain instead. I have learned that the body is a strange creature. It has a mind of its own and no matter what you say or do, it will drop weight according to its time frame and NOT the time frame we feel is the right one. I have learned to CHILL, hold my breath, climb up on the scales, and DEAL with the numbers that appear...... OH, and keep trudging on!

I have learned that a half cup of pink grapefruit, 2 carrots, 1/2 cup oatmeal, promise spread, beans, a few grapes, garlic, Vitamin E, and vitamin C each day, can help to lower bad cholesterol and actually does! My cholesterol is down 32 points and my HDL is up by 4 points in just the last 3 months. THAT is amazing for me. So I guess you can call that a NSV (non scale victory) of GREAT proportions?!

    Those NSV's are important too. Sounds like you are moving in the right direction. The journey is sometimes more important than the results. The results will come....be patient with your body and accept the ups and downs. Seems like you are doing that and that's great. I am right here along with you, working to be healthier and hopefully get rid of those pounds little by little...Still working on losing the last 9 pounds of the 13 I gained when I fell off the wagon. Hang in there Debbie...it will happen as long as you NEVER GIVE UP! I'm with you 100%
