SP Official Better Sleep Challenge Journal, Day 9, A.M.

I was doing well during Week One, even enjoyed a few nights of decent sleep... and then I stupidly stayed up much too late Thursday night watching a movie with Ricky! We didn't get to bed until 11:45 p.m.-- waaay past my bedtime. Of course, I tossed and turned all night. emoticon

Now, you'd think I'd learned my lesson, right? Here's how I blew last night (Friday night): first of all, I had a Diet Coke around 5 p.m.-- much too late for me to enjoy caffeinated beverages. Then, I stayed up too late *again*, though not as late as the night before. Last night we got to bed at 11-- still much too late for this early riser! emoticon

On the plus side: I've learned that my body really does require an early bedtime. From all my journaling during Week One of the Challenge, I learned that the best bedtime for me is between 10 and 10:30-- and not a minute later! I also realized I cannot have caffeine later in the day. I probably should stick to a no caffeine after lunchtime rule. emoticon

Tonight I am planning to hit the hay no later than 10:30 p.m. Hopefully, this will get me back on track! emoticon
