just a update....

it's been a long time since my last blog, but I have been so busy with work. being a Hospice Nurse is not just a job , it is a calling . And I am devoting a lot of my time to my patients. It is not so much physical ,but mental strain. But I learn so much from my patients, about what is important in life. I learned to worry about the small stuff, but to look at the big picture. I am dedicated to make my patient's last days as comfortable and full filling as possible.
The bad part is that I gained a lot of weight back. So now I have to get back to exercising more and find balance between my work, family and healthy life style. I know I can do it, and I want to thank all my friends and family for always being there for me.

I have always admired nurses, such hard workers. What would we do without them! But, the ones doing hospice, .like you- I really admire the most. Too me it would be so heartbreaking to deal with these patients, knowing they are near death. Not everyone can do that! I couldn't even work around animals-like at a vet-makes me too emotional!
I worked in a hospital ER at one time and I really saw first hand what the nurses go through. Tough job!
Just keep focused on your goals, take it a day at time, you will get there! emoticon emoticon emoticon

You're right - in a profession as giving as yours, you have to be intentional about taking care of yourself. It's awesome that you have the support of your friends and family in your healthy lifestyle journey. Hopefully being healthier will allow you to be around longer to enjoy time with them!
