I just realized this morning. Tomorrow it will have been a full two weeks since I've started running and in full training for the half marathon. I was kind of doing something before, but I kept loosing track. My nutrition would falter, and I'd fall off the wagon.
But this time I'm on fire. I'm running almost every day. I'm on track with my nutrition. Some days I'm still high, but 90% of the time I'm right on. I am working on that last 10% as well.
I was stuck at 237lbs when I started this two weeks ago. That number was on the scale for 3 days in a row. I could not deny it any more. It was there.
Yesterday, I saw 233.
I was going to bail on today's run. My hip hurt. I was tired. It was hot.
But then I realized. Saturday will be day 14. If I loose a full 5lbs, that's 2.5lbs a week. That's actually a really high weight loss.
Lulu wanted to go too, so we went. I figured I'd at least try. Then once I was out, I realized it was as nice as it would get all day long. It had rained an hour before, so it was as cool as it was going to get.
So Lulu and I pushed through. We did need to take walking breaks, but we ran for the 50minutes.
It felt great - to get out there and get it done.
Wish me luck. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow morning. Right before we go for the weeks long run. This week - run 80minutes.
