Going down...

Friday, July 12, 2013

Just an update to myself (as with all my blogs, they are for me to remind what I did and what went on, as well as a story to entertain whoever is amused enough to stop by) that I wasn't going to workout today because I am sore from my stupid Trailer Tango and Full Gainer into the sawhorse.

But I was INSPIRED! I got an answer to a question that has been burning in the back of my brain for a while now. It's matter is private, but let's just say I was a chicken-poo for not just being blunt and asking like I normally would. But you know how it is when you aren't sure you REALLY want to know the answer? Anyway, I got an answer in the negative, meaning it was a good for me. (tiny little happy dance in progress). And while I was waiting for an answer to this question, I got up and rode the bike. Then I did some squats, surprised that my knee and lower back was allowing me this range of motion at all. Anyway, I also stepped on the scale beforehand and the "gained" weight is going down more and more.

So spurred into action, I am still getting all my exercise in, even if its late and I will probably be up for hours now. Oh! And I am waiting for my Microwave Peanut Butter Fudge to cool. I so want to get into that stuff! I added a little Hershey's Dark Syrup when I put it in the fridge, so I hope it turns out good.

Good night all,
Angela

I will admit that I used the "happy, shiny, feeling" of good news to PROPEL me into action, as well as the stress of waiting for the answer. I harnessed the nervous energy that usually leaves me with no fingernails (a nasty habit I started when I quit smoking), and got down to business. Anyway, I used up the energy and slept like a dead chick and that was all well and good.

I was up until 3 am, but that was for the best anyway. Patrick's mother has had a stroke and has been in ICU all night, so I have been on standby in case I need to throw him some cash to fly to Baltimore. (I have the $$ right now, and it's the right thing to do.) I am so happy he was able to spend the weekend of the Fourth of July with her. Just goes to show that you never know when will be the last time you will see a loved one. So make the most of it daily!
