Whole 30 Day 12 All is right with the world..

Friday, July 12, 2013

Day 12 Friday: Snuggles cured my pouting fit, but made me late to work. Boss said nothing.. score. Breakfast was tomato & onion scramble. There is beauty in a farmers market tomato at the peak of summer. I may have to can some so I can have them in February. Lunch was my leftover zoodles and meat sauce, which I ate after I was brutally tortured in "Total Body Conditioning" class. I need to start bringing pre & post WO meals. Class was at 11am, and I didn't feel like I could keep up. Strangely, I wasn't hungry for lunch. I ate just 'cause. Now that I think of it can't remember the last time I felt hungry.... Wow! When I first started working here I remember being hungry ALL the time. I packed lunch, 2 pieces of fruit, and clif bar every day and still sometimes bought snacks bc I was starving all the time. What a difference being fat adapted does for the level of comfort I feel at work, and in life.

So tomorrow is Tribal Quest. It's a 5-mile mud run traipsing up and down the Rappahannock river with 15 obstacles to overcome. I'm the only girl on the team.. eep. Bf was going to run it with me, but the army made other plans for him. So now I'm running with strangers. Oh well, should be fun still. I haven't run 5 miles in loooooooooong time. I would say February was the last time. So I may die, or I may be ok who knows. I'm terrified of heights, and there are 14ft walls to climb, with no ropes or anything to help you up. This seemed like a good idea 2 months ago..

I'm certain you will have a great time. I do all my runs solo - you'll make friends on the path!
