When I stopped for dinner at a Cracker Barrel late on Wednesday night I went to the ladies' room. This was on the back of the door in my stall.
It immediately made me smile. I didn't take "Faith" because I didn't want to tear off the last option. But it made me wonder what the others were. My mind started racing, and I enjoyed filling them in with my imaginary list -
I am loved
I am beautiful
Regardless of what the others said, the sign made me smile and I left with "Happiness" which might have been one of the original choices.
The trip to the restaurant was because I recently traveled to St. Louis, MO for work. It was a quick trip: down one day, and back the next night. It's approximately a 6-hour drive.
I work from home and rarely travel, so make the best of it when I do. My coworker and I took in a Cardinals game that night, and this was the view from our seats. Note the arch beyond the outfield bleachers (upper right of photo), and the outfield lawn echos the arch in the way it was mowed.
After a day's work, on the way home we visited Basilica Cathedral of St. Louis. I felt my cell phone pics wouldn't do it justice, so I simply walked through in reverence of God and the incredible workmanship of all those who constructed it. The only regret is not having an hour or two to be in it.
My food choices were healthier this week and continue to be so today after a good fast-paced walk by myself, and I was thrilled. I'm off to meet a coworker at a restaurant where I will make smart choices to continue taking me to where I want to be health-wise.
