Last night I had a low blood sugar. I fell asleep at 4, after lunch, and slept till 9:15. Dinner is scheduled for 9, and I had to cook it. The low blood sugar happened while I was cooking, and when my vision got blurry, I ate an apple. Thirty minutes later, my vision cleared, and my headache after was minimal. I am hoping that this is just a result of my hospital stay, and them feeding me a sandwich. I haven't had a low blood sugar since I started Atkins 4 years ago, even though I have had larger cheats than a turkey sandwich over that time period.
I slept just 1-7:15, but after a 5 hour nap ( my brother was supposed to wake me up when he got home ), I didn't expect to sleep 8 hours. I decided to do a resistance band workout, and then walk some laps around the apt complex. I have been walking the half of the square, and today I did the whole square, which takes me 6 minutes a lap. I did 6 laps. Then I got a shower, and had to finish removing the hair on my chest, since they removed some at the hospital. I still had a few sticky spots from the EKG patches.
After all that, and washing dishes, I finally had no more reasons to delay my weigh-in. I was down 2.4 lbs. this week to 218.2. So far I am down 23.8 lbs in 52 days, since my re-start on May 21st, and pretty happy overall.
Breakfast was my normal mushroom omelette, but I added 1/2 an apple, and having the other half with my lunch, so I do not get another low blood sugar. I am also volunteering tonight, so I am taking 1/2 a fiber bar, in case I get a low blood sugar.
My plan for the day is to just relax, and read a book, maybe Spark a bit. Then maybe 2-3 hours of phone answering for my friend. I will cook up dinner today, so it is ready to eat when I get home. Seems every time I have an issue it is because I put things off.
Have a great weekend!
