Calm water and Hazy Sky

Friday, July 12, 2013

It seems so peaceful here this morning. The water is like glass on the lake. The weather report calls for a Haze today. Since it has rained for like 10 days it is sweltering outside even at this early hour I am sure. I have not been out yet.

Today nothing is planned until 6 pm for conclusion of Vacation Bible School. I didn't mean I had nothing to do. House cleaning, laundry and a boat ride are likely. I however wont begin that until after I try to walk. The quarter size blister bust last night. I got the new blister bandaid's and while they are pretty waterproof they don't like to soak in the tub and I do. So when I got out of the tub it was lifted and would not stick on one side. So I thought to change it, ouch when it pulled the skin over the entire blister with it. I applied a new one but don't know how bad this will hurt to walk/run. I have a pair of slip on running around tennis shoes that have no back. I could probably try them but don't think I should run in them. We shall see.

Looking forward to a great day at home with an evening send off to the kids from VBS. They will do their program, pick up all the crafts, have hot dogs, shave cream fights and giant slip and slide. It looks like the weather will cooperate.

Y'all have fun today, ya hear. (said with a southern accent emoticon )

Don't run on funny or different footwear. The risk of injury is just to great. A rest day is a whole lot safer and sometimes also good for you.
Sounds like a wonderful day. Enjoy those kids!

Sorry about the blister. Takes time to heal. Maybe just walk in the backless shoes.
Love our Southern accent and especially Paula Dean's version. Her accent is so sweet!
