Now for my thoughts. A friend was telling me about another site that connects the nutrition tracker and fitness tracker to work together. And though I like the concept, i wasn't willing to track all this twice and i wasn't leavin SP :) So when SP decided to do this, i jumped in as soon as i could and with both feet...i kept checking the day it was to come out to see if i could update...lol. And then i did...hhhmmm...right off the bat it gave me a couple hundred more calories than the old tracker...and that was before doing anything!!! and though that may sound good...i mean, i don't have to worry about overeating at this point...lol...i also know my body and that my body will not lose weight on those calories...so i am going to have to do some adjusting there. Though I do wish i could remember the old trackers numbers because i don't want to go too low of course... but i will figure it out in time... it's going to take a little time to find that sweet spot... especially coordinating the exercise days with my lazy days and making it even out... but that also means that on those occasions where i may go a little over...i can see how my exercise will impact the over all numbers...where before you couldn't... so though i was kind of blown away at first and wondering if i had made the right choice, i know that in the end, it's gonna be worth it...after all...each phase of life is learning to adjust and finding your new sweet spot..with every 10 lbs you lose, you need to refigure your new sweet spot to keep losing...i think this is going to be a very helpful tool in my weight loss efforts and can't wait to see the results :)

I have a Fitbit, and that is how their trackers work. I haven't made the switch on Sparkpeople yet. I think I probably will one of these days. I do like the idea of my calorie range keeping up with my workouts.

One thing I love about spark is they are always finding new ways to help us out. Yes, sometimes it take me a while to get use to the new features but I always keep in mind that they are trying to help, not hinder me. Thank you for sharing this, I hadn't even noticed. emoticon

The term "new and improved" always makes me wonder 'why'. But with SparkPeople, whatever they can come up with to add to our losses (pun intended:) is ALWAYS welcome to me. You're going to be grateful for the modification. Yes, you'll be paying more attention to the 'little' things ... but isn't that what it's all about? Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I had no idea there was a new approach!
