Well, I have been away for a bit! What have I been doing. Well I have been down in my basement getting in a bit of strength training, and been going out for walks every chance I get.

Friday I went into DH's work for their annual stampede BBQ, Food was pretty good. Baby was kinda freaking out with all the people coming up to her and the loud music. Dark clouds started to roll in, just after we ate so I left early. DH was an organizer so he had to stay back to clean.

The weekend was pretty low key, we just went to the farmers market on Saturday, and Sunday we went to DH's grandma's house. His aunt and uncle from the states are in town and want to meet her. They had originally tried inviting themselves over, but DH suggested to go there instead (good idea honey). His mom still will not listen to me, I see where I stand. I told her that Anissa is sitting on her own with little help and she would not let go. Then DH had said something, and she acts all surprised like it is the first time she was doing it.

Monday was raining so I was all cooped up in the house. We were originally going to go to a outdoor wading pool, but the rain stopped us of course. Tuesday I met another mommy from meetup.com, that runs. We went for a good run, I tried to track it with my nike+ but it paused so I don't know how far we ran. I am figuring it was about 6k. I still find myself walking a bit, but I am slowly getting my endurance back. Anissa slept through out the whole run LOL Gosh I love her! We are going for another run next Tuesday again.

After the run I went straight to the mall where we met a few of the other ladies from our birthing class. Anissa was the only girl, and was the only one sitting on her own, as well as the biggest! She's a tall lil nugget, which she did not get from me LOL.

Yesturday I got out for a loooong walk, after a morning swim. We met up with a friend who's little guy is 6 weeks older than Anissa. I actually met her when we were in Dominican, she is friends with the couple that got married there. There is construction on the road behind us and it is quite noisy so I went for a walk so that she could nap. I ended up walking 10.3k, I didn't run because I had to fight off some urges, at least she got in a nice good nap.

Tomorrow I am meeting a woman from meetup.com for a walk. She started emailing me through the site and we eventually exchanged phone numbers. We were going to meet the day all the floods happened, but mother nature kept us from that. We are just going to go for a walk, it feels really good to be getting out and exercising and having adult conversations too.

I bet you are wondering about this meetup.com. I discovered it while searching for mommy groups. It is a website that has sub communities in it and you join which ever community that appeals to you. There are few family ones, and singles ones, I bet there a thousands of groups but I haven't searched them all. Anyways they post meetups and you can go to them to meet new people. Sometimes they are at a public place like a park or swimming pool. Sometimes they are at someone's house for a play date. This is how I have been meeting other mommies to get out and socialize with. I would have been doing it sooner, but certain people wouldn't get the hint that I like my afternoons to myself to go do stuff like this.

Well I am off to bed, I would have posted earlier, but I was resetting up my laptop. I decided to reformat the drive and setting up everything does take a while.
