We are finally back from our trip to my Aunt's funeral. It was wonderful to see all of the family again. We had so much fun catching up with everyone and reminiscing about all the fun times we had with Aunt Velma. Food was very difficult to manage while I was away. The church fed us while we were there, so you can imagine how hard it was to stay on track. I had not idea what I was eating, but I tried very hard to keep my portions small. Healthy choices were just not an option. I gained 2 pounds while I was gone in spite of my best efforts. Some of it might be due to traveling in the car so long as well. Hopefully it will be back off again soon.
Went on my favorite little hike this afternoon with kids. We had a wonderful time and it gets a little easier every time we go.
Tonight was family games at the community house and then kettlebell training with DS. Only 2 more days of vacation left in the mountains. I am not ready to leave yet, but it will be good to see DH again.
Tomorrow, we are going to spend the day at my brothers house just outside of Angel Fire. We will be riding 4 wheelers through the trails on "his" mountain, which is always lots of fun!
Saturday is "the" day! I will finally be attempting the hike up to the beautiful mountain lake that I have never been able to do before! This will be the real test of how far I have come! Hopefully, I will have beautiful pictures to post for you Saturday night.
So glad to be back on Spark again. I really missed y'all while I was gone. This site has become such an integral part of my weight loss. I was totally lost while I was away, which was evident in my weight gain! I am glad to be back connected and able to track again!
