We are finally back from our trip to my Aunt's funeral. It was wonderful to see all of the family again. We had so much fun catching up with everyone and reminiscing about all the fun times we had with Aunt Velma. Food was very difficult to manage while I was away. The church fed us while we were there, so you can imagine how hard it was to stay on track. I had not idea what I was eating, but I tried very hard to keep my portions small. Healthy choices were just not an option. I gained 2 pounds while I was gone in spite of my best efforts. Some of it might be due to traveling in the car so long as well. Hopefully it will be back off again soon.

Went on my favorite little hike this afternoon with kids. We had a wonderful time and it gets a little easier every time we go.

Tonight was family games at the community house and then kettlebell training with DS. Only 2 more days of vacation left in the mountains. I am not ready to leave yet, but it will be good to see DH again.

Tomorrow, we are going to spend the day at my brothers house just outside of Angel Fire. We will be riding 4 wheelers through the trails on "his" mountain, which is always lots of fun!

Saturday is "the" day! I will finally be attempting the hike up to the beautiful mountain lake that I have never been able to do before! This will be the real test of how far I have come! Hopefully, I will have beautiful pictures to post for you Saturday night.

So glad to be back on Spark again. I really missed y'all while I was gone. This site has become such an integral part of my weight loss. I was totally lost while I was away, which was evident in my weight gain! I am glad to be back connected and able to track again!

We missed you too! I'm sure you gave your Aunt a nice send-off. Love the sledding picture, too funny. I'm sure the weight gain is from riding in the car, not enough water, eating out, all those things. It will come off again now that you are back to our regular activities. Have fun at your brother's place and good luck on the hike!

Two pounds is great ! You're probably holding onto water from all the salt in the food.

Love that last pic! And the trees with the roots--the pic with your itty bitty...so cool!

    Funny- love the sledding pic! You look so great in that 1st pic! I love how you say "attempting to hike"--- girl- you are not fooling anyone- you are going to kick that mountain's butt!!! You are so ready! Just bring lots of water and charge those camera batteries! So exciting! emoticon

I am so glad you got to have a nice time reminiscing with family at your Aunt's funeral. I think that is what our loved ones would prefer. emoticon

    OH! I absolutely love the no sledding picture, that was great. So glad you thought of that. Sounds like a nice time considering your reason for your trip. Don't worry about the weight, you'll work that little bit off in no time. We are so glad you are back too. We really missed you.

I will be traveling, too. I am in the Northwest, picking up my granddaughters for a two-week stay with us, returning home on Saturday.
