My friends. Let me start off by saying I love my friends but they aren't the best when it comes to motivation. My best friends are both overweight and need to lose weight for health reasons but they really don't put out the effort. I hear a lot of " I need to lose weight" "I am going to start exercising" "I am going to stop eating out". So far..... hasn't happened. I love them but I now know I can't depend on them for my motivation. It is all on me.

Maybe it is your job to motivate them. When they see you determined to make the right choices and start exercising, they might just be inspired enough to join you. Sometimes we get our motivation from motivating others. You are a good friend to be concerned about your friends. Now go on and show them the right way.

I believe once they she that you have made changes in your life, and progress with your weight lost then they will began to get on board with you. I've been doing my thing solo every since I started. I truly know where you coming from not having that support like you where hoping for. Start by taking before pictures and measurements, so you have a progress guide during your journey. Best of luck and be strong on your journey. emoticon
