The past few days have been good eating wise! Yesterday i was about 400 calories over and I didnt workout. And the reason for that was Josh brought home a rotisserie chicken from grocery shopping and even though I had a pork roast in the oven we decided to have the chicken and potatoes. No veggies.
Aaaand well half of a rotisserie chicken isn't that great for you. Plus I don't really pick around much of the fat, I friggin love the fat. And the skin- I really let it go last night. Plus I brought home a small gourmet cupcake for us to split (150 calories for half most likely) and then had 1 serving of Strawberry frozen yogurt.
And the whole issue with eating too much last night was A. the portions and B. not eating what I planned for. I had a big lunch so a big dinner wasn't planned for. But when it's presented I am like, okay lets dig in. I took half the chicken in one go. Stupid! I had a 450 calorie meal planned and instead ended up with about a 700 calorie meal. Plus the snacks. So I reallllly need to plan out these treats if I am going to have them. On the way home I contemplated just chucking the cupcake out the window. But I wanted to share a sweet treat with Josh, and half isn't too bad. It was just compounded onto a few other bad choices.
So today I am sticking with my plan and I will come in JUST over 1200 calories. Plus tonight I plan to go for a run and do legs if they aren't too dead.
I am still sore from Sunday's arm workout- my triceps were destroyed! They feel like bruises and it's hard to bend my arm too close to me. I tried to go for a run the other night 2 hours after dinner and it was tough. Then I REALLY had to go potty. I got just over 2 miles in on my way back when I had to call the boyfriend up to come and drive me home because I could barely hold it in. Gross- and rough!! So tonight im going to shoot for running a 5K. My running stamina has really taken a dive- I need to pump it back up!
With strength training it's nice to actually get home and be home. Plus not being soaked with sweat so I can say Hi to my love. And then I go about my night until about 8:30 and kick some muscle butt. I will do a slow jog today just to get 30-40 minutes in so I still have energy to do legs. Last week I did an awesome leg workout and im hoping to amp it up and be really sore this time.
I can feel my muscles getting stronger- I am not as sore as I used to be after crazy strength training. If I am it's usually only for 2-4 days instead of a week, unless I do something with muscles that really pushes them- I must have really done something good with my triceps!
Im trying my best to stick with eating 1200-1400 calories a day. 1200 was always hard for me, but I have learned if I eat the right things I am not as hungry throughout the day.
I don't feel like much has changed yet- even though technically it's week 3. I guess I will see on Tuesday! Actually I weighed myself yesterday morning and from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning I went from 207.9 to 203.9. I KNEW it was worst case scenario- glad I was right. Im still hoping to see 202.4 on Tuesday (2lb loss for the week)
Good stuff! Now I just need to keep my cardio activity up!
