Still Doing the 30 Day Shred!

My workout for this month is the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I heard about this workout over a year ago, and at that time I just dismissed it from my mind. I never considered the possibility that I would ever be able to do a workout like that! But wow...here I am now, and I really am doing it! Today was day 11 of the workout, and its my first day on level two.

Level one kicked my buttinski so bad, but I'm proud to say that I just stuck with it. I modified the moves when I needed to, but I never stopped moving my body. And day by day, I felt my stamina and strength slowly increasing. The workout was still super hard, but I could definitely feel myself getting better.



This morning I worked out on level two, and I thought I was going to collapse a couple of times! This workout is no joke! Again, I had to modify some of the moves, but I just kept going. When I was done, I was soooo sweaty! I sweated so much that my hair got frizzy, lol. Here's a picture of me after the workout;



Yeah, I look a mess! Oh well..if you still look good after your workout, then you didn't work hard enough, right?

    I think you look darn good for just having completed a workout! Lately I've been drenched in sweat just from making a trip up the stairs to use the bathroom. An actual work out right now, I'd be lucky to be standing in the picture!

    Just happened to have found a copy of the "30 Day Shred" DVD at Von's on the clearance rack. It was half price, so I grabbed it. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I'll get started on it as soon as my foot heals up. Supposed to stay off it as much as possible for now.

I'm sure even Level 1 will kick my butt too!

  I am so proud of you for "keeping-Keeping on" I too have modify parts of some videos, but the important things is to keep moving and not to give up! You are a rock star!

    I know. I once had that tape and lent it to someone and never got it back. I should get another one. It was a good one. I had to modify the moves a lot,too.
I have a couple of other ones by her,too.

    Oh my goodness Pixie I just laughed emoticon when I read "if you still look good after your workout, then you didn't work hard enough, right?" My 16 yr old DD says that about cross country practice. emoticon You are so right!!! You are an impressive woman, I'm glad to read everything you write.
I sure don't know how you find the time to send all the encouragement that you do and respond to everyone, but it's so nice that you do! Thanks for being a shining example to so many. emoticon

    Way to go. That is my goal: to be able to have the energy, stamina and capability to do a workout video. I know there are modified ones, but I really want to be able to do a crunch w/o my feet coming off the floor.
