I am down to 215.4 which is a number I haven't seen in a couple of years and I THINK I can get to 199 by Aug. 1 which is a number I haven't seen in more than 5 years. My pants are looser and most don't even need the button undone.

There are a pair of grey slacks that I bought on clearance that I haven't had the courage to try on. They were too tight when I bought them, but such a great deal, I bought them anyway 2 years ago. Even though I've lost 15 (19 lbs if I'm being honest about the weight I was when I started) I'm afraid that they still won't fit. However, Aug. 1 I'm going to try on those pants again, no matter what the scale says.

I have however, had non-scale victories. As I mentioned in the above paragraph most of my pants I can take off w/o unbuttoning. I got a stomach ache over July 4th from overindulging. Which may not sound like something, since I'd been eating so much better and smaller portions my stomach is shrinking. Hence the stomach ache and my somewhat inane glee over the fact. I have discovered that fatty foods tend to make me slow and lethargic and the same is true when I don't drink enough water. My body works better when I get proper nutrition and stay hydrated, who knew?

I still haven't gotten into heavy exercise yet. But I walk the dog twice a day, 5 days a week and once a day the other 2 days of the week (I work late), a mile round trip. Also, I have attended my 2nd Zumba class and plan to make it a weekly event. I do want to start cycling, I used to love it when I was younger and I have some of Jillian Michaels' DVDs that I want to start using more frequently. I have a LONG way to go, but I've gone so far already, in the way I view food and myself. I love this journey I'm on. I just wanted to share, Spark on my friends!

    emoticon emoticon I always enjoyed the dance aerobics. So much fun.
There is another one called Shabam that is lots of fun too. Keep at it.
