I am so excited! emoticon I have an interview for a job in Washington County, Ohio. My husband and I have been trying to move to Athens, Ohio for two years now. This interview is about 40 miles away from Athens in a small town called Vincent, Ohio. It is for an elementary special education position. I have taught the previous six years in secondary special education, so this could be a fun switch! Plus, my current job is in a contracted position at the local residential facility. I am tired of being in a contract position. I have no recourse when the facility is making poor educational decisions for the classrooms (such as having a classroom in an office instead of a classroom). My interview is at 9:00 tomorrow morning. And, I have a fair chance at this position. The principal, who will be making the decision of who to hire, is brand new to the area. In fact, she couldn't even tell me how to get to the board of education where the interview is going to take place! Therefore, she is not familiar with the politics of the school district and will be able to make an unbiased decision based upon the qualifications of the applicants.

Since my comment posted TWICE, and I don't want to say exactly the same thing TWICE, I will say it differently this time. I sure hope you get the job and that it all works out well for you.

I am praying that God will give you clear, concise answers tomorrow. Hopefully, you and the principal will connect and this job will be the one for you.

BTW- My son is a Sped. Teacher too and he interviewed at 9 am for a new job yesterday. he got the call offering him the job as he drove down the road an hour later.

I am a principal and I do lots of interviews every year. I pray over the decisions I make about who to put in the classrooms at my school.

God be with you tomorrow! Please let me know how it goes.
