I've been doing a little web research on C25K and downloaded an app to my phone that helps you keep track of the time for walking fast and the time for jogging. I gave it a go last weekend but my knees started hurting immediately. I've learned to listen to my body and my body was telling me "You're not ready for this quite yet, Kay, so keep walking. When you've lost some more weight you won't be stressing us this badly and we'll see."
Ok, then. We'll lose some more and then try it again.
This morning I was more tired than usual and didn't feel like my perky self getting on the treadmill at 5:00 but I forced myself to do just 10 minutes. My pace was slower than usual, but I did 12 minutes. It's really hot and humid where I live right now and we don't have air conditioning so at 12 minutes I was pretty heated up. You know what? I went out and jumped in the pool! Gave my arms a workout and enjoyed the 76 degree water, the quiet of the morning and the peacefulness. What a beautiful way to start the day! I feel great.
