Pilates is going well! We're having a blast in class. I did an interval workout this morning with my class. We really got a good sweat going on.
After class I drove out to the rec. center and did my 5K training. I've started a new week on that, so now I'm walking 2 minutes and running for 3 minutes. That means I'm running more than I'm walking. It wasn't too bad. I could tell by that last interval though that my legs were starting to feel like lead.
After my 5K training, I got in the pool and did a mile there. It took about 33 minutes. There was a guy there with his kids that said to me, "You did, like, 100 laps!" I told him that I only did 32 laps (which makes 1 mile). Then he told me he tried swimming just one lap with me and couldn't keep up. That made feel like I could conquer the world.
Then.... I got out of the pool and my legs felt like jello. So we went from lead to jello. Interesting.... But I made it home, where I gobbled up my post-workout snack and got ready to spend the afternoon at church getting ready for VBS.
It rained, no stormed, all afternoon. If this rain doesn't stop, we're all going to float away. It's supposed to rain tomorrow for most of the day. I hope it holds off long enough for me to get my neighborhood run/walk (more walk than run right now) in. It's been awhile since I was able to do that. If not, I guess I'll just pop in one of my workout DVDs or games (Zumba, Just Dance). I've got plenty of rainy day workout options. But I really want to get the neighborhood run/walk in.
