WIN Reflection and Shred Cycle 2

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

Just sitting down to blog and update my threads. I wanted to sit down and get my new journal made before I updated.

I created it to record my journey and make motivational quotes/pictures as scrapbook pages to help push me more.

So I ended cycle 1 of Shred with only a 1.82 loss. Which is really disappointing since people usually get at least a 10lb loss for the entire 6 weeks. However I really only followed the plan for 3 weeks perfectly and my fitness minutes were all over the place. We had so much going on too during that time that certainly played a role. Now I have 5 weeks til my 30th birthday which is also my next goal of a 10lb loss which I really would like 20 lbs lost by then. I don't have as much going on between now and then so I really believe I can focus and be more disciplined this time around.

This week I stayed the same which I am happy about. I thought for sure I was going to gain with not being on Shred for 2 weeks and the Holiday weekend but I stayed same so I will take it! Monday I have my appointment for my measurements at Curves. Can't wait to see.

Today I learned that a fellow classmate I have known, although not close too, since elementary school, lost his 13 year battle of Leukemia overnight. I was very saddened. He just celebrated his 30th bday in May. Here I keep complaining that my 30th is coming up and he barely made it to his! Its very sad. I am not ready to start saying goodbye to the people I graduated HS with! My thoughts and prayers are with his family!!!

Update on the raids going on in the neighborhood. There was 3 now confirmed just in my neighborhood of the 22 warrants. My friends knows the people across the street. Apparently the guy that lived there is the soon to be ex brother in law of one of the guys that ran the big warehouses that were growing the pot. They did release the guy across the street after questioning him because they found out they had nothing to do with it. The house is a rent to own and the owner whos a moron anyways, is kicking them out. I feel bad for them. Honestly since finding out they are not involved I really don't want them to move because they are pretty quiet and theres not a lot of traffic even when they party.

Have a great evening :)

If they're basically good neighbors, tell the owner that. You lose nothing, and it might make a difference.

Last spring I turned 40 and like you with 30, I dreaded the milestone. Then earlier this week I read the obituary of a former student of mine that died at 21. It's so sad, and reminds me that there are worse things that growing older.

That's a cool journal. I'm not crafty like that at all, but I kind of wish I was. Good luck on your next Shred cycle.
