Finally Feels Like Habit

For me the hardest part of starting a diet is always the first two weeks or so when I'm trying to get into the mind set and limiting my food and moving my body. While the idea of exercising still doesn't seem second nature to me, the smaller portions I'm eating no longer feel like I'm punishing myself. I'm pretty much used to saying "no thank you" to second helpings of anything that isn't fresh fruits or vegetables. And reading food labels is now a must when I go grocery shopping. I don't think I realized how much junk I was eating till I really stopped to think about it. Now don't get me wrong, I still have cookies. I just have the serving amount instead of the whole box in one sitting. I've even been really good about not drinking my calories. It's all water for me, and because I was raised in a soda world I've adjusted by using the water enhancers from Dasani (my favorite is Dasani Pineapple Coconut) and other companies so that my water has flavor but doesn't wreck my diet. Now if I could just get used to exercising I would be all set.
