Still On Track

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

I tracked everything yesterday and drank all of my water (wahoo!!). So far, so good today. It's always easier on days that I work at J#2, as I have a food schedule that I follow. The good thing about J#2 is that I'm running around all night, working (ah, retail), so I get a lot of steps in. Tonight, I work at J#2, and my husband and our best friend want to go to the taqueria before they go to a movie and I go to work. If I stick with a cheese quesadilla, I'll be fine, and I can do that.

So, one of the kids at J#2 is doing weight watchers, and has dropped 8 pounds thus far. We are support buddies. I am having difficulties visualizing that I weigh 14 pounds less that she does, because 1) I don't perceive her as being particularly overweight and 2) I think of myself as particularly overweight. This is strange.

I am really trying to get down to my pre-Thanksgiving/pre-Daddy death/pre-major work stress weight by the time we go on our vacation. Vacation is always a BIG food challenge. We eat and drink and fish and read and talk and visit and see plays. This year, we are also going on a 6-mile hike. Please see that "eat and drink" are the first two items on the vacation list...

Moving forward, with all of you -- xoxo

Food schedule on vacation? Plan activities around said schedule?
This is coming from someone who hasn't 'vacationed' in years, of course.
