Pre 2004 Car wreck weight achieved!

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

In 2004 when I had my life changing car wreck I weighed 167 lbs. Today I met that weight goal! For the first time since then my scale read 167 lbs.! It was a really important milestone. I took some time to let it sink in and then said onward I go. It's not just a blip on my radar but it is not the final destination either. Their is much more to do.

I will have to celebrate this somehow. I made a day in my life quilt one year where each block represented a period of time childhood memories, grandparent and other life events. Choosing colors to represent the feelings and emotions. My childhood block was blue sky's and sunny day memories so of course blue and yellow. My grandmother block was about my aunt Vera, the only grandmother figure I ever had. I used yellow to represent Cornbread, green for turnip greens and reds for tomato. She was my first introduction to southern food. So I think maybe a crazy quilt block of some sort, to make a memory pillow of the whirlwind of events and emotions during this journey from 167 to 242 and back to 167! This should be therapeutic in so many ways! Still giving this some thought.

I hope you meet a milestone in your life to celebrate as well.
