Getting Started!

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

Just so you all know, I am VERY new to all of this! This is the very first time I have ever written a blog post, and this is the........ ummm........ Well, let's just say I've lost count of how many times I've said "This year, I'm going to eat HEALTHY!!"
I can't say I won't get sick of this whole thing, and I can't promise I'm going to be faithful to this page and to getting healthy, but I have got some new motivation!
My older brother, Nathaniel, was as large, if not larger than I am. A few months ago he got sick of being the largest of our friends, and he went out and walked, and ran, and worked out, and he portioned his meals. No one helped him, and some of us even teased him pretty badly. Well, HE's laughing now, cause he's about 10-15 lbs away from his goal weight, and he's the slimmest of the whole family!
Well, that made me a little irritated... my brother and I are 2 years apart, and I've always been pretty competitive with him. The fact that he did something I thought I couldn't do, and made excuses not to annoys me, I'm ashamed to say.
"I can do anything you can do, better!"
I'm starting to count calories, take long walks, and I'm going through some workout videos.
I hope to lose at least half of what I need to lose by my next b-day.
We'll see!
