how am i doing?

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

I'm doing pretty well actually. Monday went OK, stayed under 1400 calories and wrestled with hunger but stuck to the plan.
Tuesday, did better, stuck to the plan then KAdy came in with ice cream and she brought me a small scoop of sinless raspberry sorbet. I could have put it in the frezer for today and I did consider that but then I chose to eat it. I was still within my food range but it did put me over my 1400 goal I set for myself but not by much so I'm OK with that.

I walked Monday night and I was sooooo slow and everything hurt. Frank had to keep stopping and waiting for me but Stitchy and I were being granny's together and we just went at our pace. I realize I need to work back up to where I was since I have barely walked in a month. I get a bit frustrated because while I know it will take some time, I feel like a dork walking 10 paces behind my husband. He is 6'3 and I am 5'5 so even on a good day, he out paces me with his long strides but on a slow day, its really bad. Every time he stops to wait for me, I want to throw rocks at

Every night, I plan put my food for the next day and it really helps having it in my tracker already. I know what I'm going to eat and it keeps me on track.

So I'm doing OK guys. Tomorrow is my weigh in day.

I've been planning my food the past couple of months and it has really helped me a lot. This week I actually planned most of the week on Sunday, and it is so nice to be able to just look at my plan, follow it, and not have to make any more decisions!

The memory of the pain of working my way back up has often been a deterrent for me, when I think about giving up exercise for awhile. Keeping up, as hard as it is, is always easier than catching up, no matter what area of life. Good for you for getting out there, Jan. Good for you for tracking your food. How are your breakfasts going? Are you getting lots of protein in, to keep hunger at bay and to build your strength? I am thinking of you, doll. emoticon

You're doing great, keep it up! But seriously, if you throw rocks, you may not have a walking partner for much longer, lol!

There's nothing more frustrating that "working back up" but when you do these slower times will be a nice reminder of your commitment!

You know, "working back up" to where you were before in walking is going to take much less time this time. You and Stitchy will be scampering along singing happy songs soon!
