T-Tapp Musings

Yesterday marked Day 9 of doing the T-Tapp Basic Workout Plus. It's a low-impact workout that pretty much anyone can do. I was following the plan for a 14-day bootcamp, but I'll be missing my workout tonight so I'll be breaking that streak. However, it's given me time to re-evaluate.

Things I like:
It's gotten me into the habit of working out (read: not just walking). It's only 15 minutes, so unless my schedule is crazy busy (like today), I can always squeeze in 15 minutes. I think it's become a habit now, which is good.

I don't think it provides enough strength training. I think I will add Pilates into the mix (each series is only 20 minutes, so again, easy to fit in!).

I really like that it's helped improve my posture, and I don't wake up with backaches anymore! This is huge, as I've had lower back pain since I was a kid. I'm sure part of the "no pain" is due to limiting gluten (meaning my organs aren't super inflamed and pressing on all those nerves), but I also think part of it is due to the back stretch, which is part of the Basic Workout Plus.

Pilates also helps with the posture and backaches, but I get the added benefit of greater strength training, so I'm excited to start that up again. I think now that I'm more workout-minded, it will be easier to make this a habit.

    That's great! Perhaps you can add in a few planks to it? They are easy to work in anytime (30-60 seconds). Keep it up!! emoticon emoticon
