Wednesday, July 10, 2013

I am down alot from my previous I weighed 274 and now I am below 190.. I was down a complete 100 pounds but put a few back on.. Does anyone know about this procedure? I will lose more, but the skin on my tummy from 2 kids..I don't think will go.. and a flat tummy would make me feel way better about how far I have come..

I've read that it can take a few years for your skin to adjust to major weight loss. The best way to help it along in the process is to lose weight slowly (too late for that info, no doubt, and you may have lost weight slowly -- no idea). However, moisturizing can also be helpful, even after the fact!

Congrats on how far you've come! I don't have an answer for your question. I do know that I've had 2 c-sections and know the recovery and the scars. I think maybe you might work on lowering overall body fat and the stomach left will go. When it is really just skin and not skin + fat it is literally paper thin. If it is more in thickness than that then it is just the last of the weight left to lose. I'm 5'10 when I was at 190- long ago now :( - I felt thin, but still had the lower stomach pooch. At 154 it was gone. does that help? I wish i was there now! i have a long journey ahead of me to get back there...but i will do it! you've come so far, i'd say just give your body time to catch up.
