Hi guys! I'm confusing myself by posting the day after I do my Insanity workouts...but here's a recap from yesterday.
After finishing "Pure Cardio" last night, I felt sad. That's strange, because it is my favorite Insanity workout thus far, and I did a good job.
But I've been feeling down in the dumps a lot lately, probably due to loneliness. I work full-time as a corporate intern, which is awesome for my resume and for networking, but not so great for my social life. Seriously, there's only three people on my floor under 30 - the female high school intern, myself, and the boy college intern. They're cool, but besides work, we don't do anything together. :( I've also been particularly moody about living the single life. It's not like I need a boyfriend, but I'm in the mode where I really want to date - which is why I know I shouldn't.
ANYHOW. I digress.
So, since I felt so blue, I decided to do a little more work. I found a Samba dance workout (~10 minutes) and it was fun, but not my style. Then I tried Hip Hop Abs (by my latest and greatest crush, SHAUN T!) - and I loved it!! Entertaining, funny, and easy to follow.
Definitely cheered me up, and I plan to do it more often. I still had moments of sadness, and I know they'll continue for awhile, but the dancing helped. :)
The greater cheer came this morning, when I peeked at the scale. After starting Insanity over, a long holiday weekend, and a small binge episode last week...the scale had gone back up. But not today.
FINALLY, I broke back into the 120s! Just barely, but I did it (the healthy way), and now I am confident I am on the right track. So excited! Now to keep it up... :)
