Family time, healthy food choices and CROSSFIT!!!!!!!

I have had family here for the last week and through this coming weekend. Which means family time and FOOD! I have not struggled with eating my trigger foods (sugar, wheat and caffeine) but I have struggled with portion sizes. There was a lot of good food and healthy food but overeating is still detrimental even if it is healthy food.

Since I have kept sugar, wheat and caffeine out of my diet except for small traces and I can really tell when something had a little sugar in it. I get really sleepy, lose focus and motivation. So I know these things need to stay out of my diet! This week I am going to clean my diet back up by focusing on whole foods - protein, veggies, some fats and some fruits. I also am going to bump up my daily water to 10+ cups. With the heat I need extra water.

I really stuck to my exercise plan last week! This week is a rest week in my training plan so my miles and minutes are not going to be as much. But I also have tons of energy and want to push harder so I may add some time to some of the days. I also need to get my fit test done so I can compare to week 2.

Today I get to try Crossfit!! I have liked Crossfit for the last two years. I watched the Crossfit Games and said I wanted to be like those people - but living in rural South Dakota there isn't a lot of Crossfit "boxes" (gyms) but I found out there is one in our hometown. I have been too chicken to try it myself so my sister from Florida who is and avid Crossfitter is going today and I am going to tag along. I hope I can make it through the workout! I don't know if I will be able to keep doing it because of $$ and the kiddos but we will see.

Daily Goals Review
1) Daily Quiet time first thing in the morning ----- 45 Day Streak
2) 8+ cups of water ------------------------------ 37 day streak (10+ goal next week)
3) 5+ freggies ----------------------------- 38 day streak
4) Exercise at least 10 minutes everyday ------- 45 days
5) NO wheat and sugar ---------------------------- 15 days
6) Limit Internet movies and TV, story books --- 36 days
7) Log food - The good the bad and the ugly ----- 0 days emoticon

Thursday---------- Strength Training - Core Synergistics or TNT
Friday-------------- Run 20 minutes
Saturday---------- Run 15
Sunday------------ X Stretch
Monday------------ Run 35 minutes
Tuesday----------- Strength Training- Core Synergistics
Wednesday------ Bike 50

My weight was up today but I know exactly why- too much food. Back at it today!

    So, you missed a little tracking, get right back to it. You know it helps for sure. I am not sure I have Crossfit anywhere here. Let me know how you like it. I am always up for trying something new.

    Oh...I know what it's like to eat too much with your family!!! lol The weight will come back off, and your plan to bump up your water will help with that, too! Good fitness plans! Let us know how the Crossfit experience was!
