Hypoglycemia

Well, I found out that I have all the symptoms of hypoglycemia according to one website I found. I haven't been to a doctor yet, though. I figured that I would just tweak my diet first.

Yesterday was awful. Its like once it got started, I couldn't get control of it. I quit tracking after awhile, it was just so frustrating. I ended up stopping at Walmart for some juicing items and double fiber bread. I also got some hard boiled eggs for my husband for in the morning on the way to work. He has hypoglycemia and I never realized how difficult it was to manage it some days. No wonder he's feeling so awful all the time!

At his suggestion, I bumped my calories back up to 2,000. Just for a little bit till I get myself under control. I hate to do it, but it just seems a little more doable right now. I had 650 calories for breakfast. Its a lot, but I'm satisfied and feel like I can survive till 11:30 when I plan to have a snack. My breakfast was turkey ham (so yummy!), eggs, toast (double fiber wheat bread), oh and butter and olive oil but not a large amount. Also had coffee. That is where my 1 sugar is. Raw sugar, 1 Tbsp. Usually I have almond milk in my coffee, but it went bad as of this morning so I had the kids whole milk in it.

Gonna have some healthy foods the rest of the day. I know that I will feel better as long as I eat the right things!

    I also have problems with hypoglycemia - you can figure out some quick protein fixes for yourself, like a cup of milk. I used to often carry an apple in my purse for emergencies. Almonds are also good.

    I, like you, believe that I am hypoglycemic. Although not confirmed yet through my m.d. I have all the symptoms. I was told to eat six smaller meals throughout the day. I hope this helps! emoticon
