Wednesday, July 10, 2013

More work to get done again today...seeded the lawn yesterday, planted some geraniums and weeded a few of the gardens, plus put down mulch, cleaned up the kitchen, worked on laundry and painted a bedroom closet to get as much done today or at least to continue with the laundry, work on a couple more gardens, get more mulch for one more garden, plus make another run to the bank.

Keeping busy keeps my mind off of food...which for me is a good thing. Take care and have a good day. Hugs!

Sounds like you're getting a LOT done! I just got back from a vacation, so have been doing laundry ever since getting home. We've been painting a lot this summer, too. You mentioning the closet door, made me think of something. My husband is the one who will paint roll the walls, and I'll do all the edging and any trim work that needs to be done...with a brush. I had some doors to do, so I used my favorite brush. It was kind of tedious and needed 2 coats. I am re-doing our hallways & all it's doors....that were white. In the meantime, hubby comes along and had mixed whites & off whites together to roll out the last room. One of the off-whites had a green tinge to it, but mixed just looks white. Without telling me, he rolled the door with that same mixture. I was almost upset, b/c I have been doing ALL the doors in that hallway & wanted them the same. I looked at it....not only did he cover it up quicker by rolling the paint on the also was close enough to the bright white I'm using. If there is a diff, a person can barely tell. It's an upstairs hall, so maybe that explains the not being able to tell? Idk. I could get upset about this (in a competitive kind of way). But, I am more relieved that it's one less door for me to paint. emoticon
