It's Day 10 of the Summer 30 Day Challenge

Another dreary hazy day here in Toronto and probable rain. When you look outside and it "could rain" any moment kind of weather, is not nice because you don't quite know how to plan your day. Should you go on a picnic? will you get rained out? Should you stay indoors, it's not raining yet?

We went to the library yesterday and got a ton of books to get us through these days. You can read a book inside or out!

Yesterday I gave my son his first piano lesson with me! ( and I learned to play his little song at the same time! ) - we both win, I brush up on my long neglected playing and he learns a little more! LOL
Truth be told, on occasion I have to get my 11 year old to help me and correct any mistakes I make! LOL she is so talented! Natural ability!

Yesterday was a MUCH better day nutritionally and today started out with half a peach and flax granola with rice dream and almonds.

Lunch will be a salad and dinner chicken with salad or veg,

How beautiful it is that you have that time with your son:) Love the pic.

So yesterday was pretty good. Sugar free, not that I wasn't thinking about as the boyfriend ate his cookies. Was having an odd day yesterday, started off alright, had a good moment in the mirror and as the day progressed it turned into a "fat" day, The heat does that to me, that and the head! Anyways read a blog on Spark and it motivated me to do some more ST. Had an awesome workout and the stars aligned again:)

Hitting the trails tonight, regardless of weather. My friend and I are committing to 6 miles:)

    Okay, so your Wednesday involved iffy weather, books, and a piano. Sounds a lot like mine! We've had rain at some point during the day every single day for well over a month -- so every day is a game of figuring out when it's "safe" to run errands, go for a walk, etc. We managed to run our errands without getting wet in the late morning/early afternoon timeframe. Then we spent a good chunk of the rainy afternoon reading books (in the blanket fort!) and repeatedly showing (i.e. reassuring) my 4-year-old that the piano was not gone, that Mommy had just moved it from the living room to her bedroom. This, of course, involved many renditions of "Chopsticks" and whatever he pulled off the music shelf and commanded to me play for his own personal dance party.

    Sounds like you had a nice day with your sweet kids.
I got a rare chance to have dinner with my 20 year old son tonight and used my 1st get out of jail card. Had a good day otherwise. Healthy choices, garden work/ free weights and almost reached 9000 steps. Sounds like the challenge is going well for all of us!
10 days went fast!

    30 minute walk ( to and from the swimming pool with the kids)
and an hour of swimming with the kids

DS passed swim test, he was so scared, but did it anyway and is now a proud boy and I am a proud mom!

    Sounds like a good day, no matter the weather

Aqua Aerobics and BodyWorx - eggs and mushrooms for breakfast with gym instructor and friend; off to Builders Warehouse for more DIY materials for sprucing up the house. Bit slack on the water lately - it's a bit chilly to drink quite as much as mid-summer, but still OK. No yellow cheese or grains :)

    Mel, I love that you are reading - the best gift a mother can give her children is the love of reading. Literacy is so important and much neglected these days by so many.

Doing good today. Researching anti-inflamation as my knee is better because there is no pain, I can't get the inflammation to go away. I am going to really try eating anti-inflamation foods. What is really awesome is that my niece just recently taught me how to cook chicken curry (she has been to India). Also the herbs and spices in Indian foods are the AI ones.

This is really exciting to try because I am hopeful for the inflammation going down but also my weight. Grains are a no-no. I suppose it should be pretty easy to lose weight eating just fish, chicken and fruits and veggies? Let's hope!

    What fun to play the piano with your son!
Yesterday was back on track and I lost my green chile pound again..
Today I started with a green smoothie and I am sure there will be salad and veggies on the menu later on :)
I will walk to the post office and the office - that should make up for skipping yoga this morning.

    LOve that you are playing the piano and getting lots
of books from the library. I hope the weather settles
for you. Glad to hear you are on track today. I had some
oats for breakfast and a tuna salad for lunch. Dinner
was grilled chicken and salad and lots of water. I am
really upset as I have lost my fitbit. It must have fallen
off my bag today. emoticon
