Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, July 10, 2013

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

When we read or sing and the words really mean something to us, it is much easier to remember. There is a song called “We Will Remember” that is about how great our God is. It is about praising Him. It is about being obedient to Him and not the things of the world. When we are obedient to God, He helps us remember. When we pray daily, we are remembering what things God wants us to focus on. When we read His word, we are remembering His will. Daily obedience to God brings help for us so we can remember to do His will. We need to remember the great things He has done and how He only wants good things for us. We need to remember and obey.

Psalm 77:11-12 “But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to remember that we only need You. We pray that You will help us to remember all You are and all You have done and all You are going to do. It is not us, Lord, who does these great things but only You. Great is thy faithfulness to us and we want to remember You in all we do so we can tell others how great You are and what You can do for them as well. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We have to take time to remember God in all we do.

We have the choice to take time today to remember the mighty works God does or just continue through the day dwelling on the things of the world.

God is our Creator. He want to deliver us from evil and give us comfort. When we remember who He is, it will be easier to follow His will.

Obedience to God comes from know who He is and remembering how great He is.

We need to remember the works of God in the past and trust Him in the present giving Him praise for all He does. And we need to shout about how great He is.

God’s words are not to be forgotten, but to be remembered.

Luke 19:33 “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.”
