Cancer treatment progress report

Danny has had a nasty cough for almost a week now, the kind you get when there is a tickle in your throat and the only way to get rid of it is to cough. And cough. And cough. He has also had a runny nose to go with it. Henry and I suspect that the secretions tied to the runny nose are causing the throat tickle.
Either way, he is pretty miserable and doesn't feel like going to tennis class or much of anything else. His white cell count was checked last Friday, and was fine, so, whatever else it might be, it isn't a serious infection.
Meanwhile he is still suffering from "radiation somnolence." This just means that he sleeps a lot every day. A lot as in a very long afternoon nap on top of sleeping regular hours at night. So we aren't getting much of anything accomplished. Sigh. However, in the grand scheme of things, I know that this isn't too bad. I have already convinced myself that taking two years to finish sixth grade is not the end of the world. But I keep wishing we could get more done.
He has one more appointment to get chemo on Friday and then he is off for three weeks. Cheers! Meanwhile, I am still waiting to hear about the genetic testing that was done. That is a big concern, though I am trying not to spend much time worrying about it.
