Harassment and Nutritionist...

Harassment:
I had to file a ‘Sexual Harassment’ charge yesterday against one of the janitors. He had been asking me out on a date for a bit (maybe a month). I refused and stated I have a boyfriend or to the effect of ‘I have someone in my life’. He would not take ‘no’ for an answer.

What really irked me was yesterday I asked that he clean my windows from smear of gnats that I killed and still had a small swarm of gnats flying around. He tells me, “You know you’re my girl; lookin’ sexy and everythin’.” I responded, “Thank you for the compliment. I am not yours or any other mans for that matter ‘girl’. I am a woman. I enjoy my freedom and prefer not to have any form of ‘relationships’ here at work with any of the staff or contract staff. Please respect my wishes.” The next few hours he was being smug every time he walked by and kept trying to get my attention.

Once I got off shift, I filed my complaint. Stated in the complaint he’s a nice guy and great worker, but I cannot and do not want any issues from this point forward. I will not accept any guy calling me "his girl", when I have no (romantic or physical) involvement with him.

Today, I get to work. He’s outside cleaning the windows. I atleast say, “Good Morning.” Not so much as a reply back… I am 29+ yrs old and your over 50 yrs old. Yet, I am being much more mature than you are. Whatever Dude!

Nutritionist:

This morning, I went to see the “Nutritionist”… Um, don’t get me wrong… but if you are a licensed “Nutritionist”, shouldn’t you be practicing what you preach?

I would expect the same level of courtesy from doctors and preachers, if that is your profession, then follow its guidelines and rules. I don’t want to see some psycho that thinks cause he took an online doctoral course, all of a sudden he qualifies as a graduate doctor, whom went to Harvard. The same with preachers… The bible says, “Thou shalt not drink. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shall live by example…” (I’m paraphrasing the bible here.) I don’t want to have a preacher that lives a vicarious lifestyle or an unholy lifestyle.

Back to the matter at hand… The ‘Nutritionist’ was an older lady, about 500+ pounds, and could barely stand straight up. How the heck are you gonna tell me to eat right and what I need to eat, if you’re over 500+ pounds? Granted the ‘Nutritionist’ I see are usually under 200 pounds! Then she proceeds to lecture me on using a……. (What the heck is the word…… Be Right Back, I need to Bing the word she used…) “Gimmick” or “Fad” diet site to lose weight…

Um, excuse FFFN me for actually caring about my own weight loss… But at least with SparkPeople, I have friends that not only help keep me on track of losing weight, but actually care about me and if I’m losing weight at all. It’s a free freakin site, which actually keeps track of my food intake, weight loss, exercise and so much more. Yes, I might hit some bumps along the way, but at least I am FFFN trying. What exactly are you doing? Cause from what I see, you can’t even follow your own advice on losing weight! Just sign the dang paper sayin we spoke and I can get back to work.

To say the least I was a bit livid on her harping on SparkPeople as a gimmick/fad diet site… What FFFN nerve of her! If I were a licensed ‘Nutritionist’, practicing what I preached, then my body would look like ‘Jillian Michaels’ (or soemone like that)! Shessh!

Poor Cyndy- men can be such a--holes sometime- like they are doing us a favor with their trash talk.

the nutritionist! wow, I think I might have said something- all the nutritionists I have ever seen have been about 115 pounds and running marathons- which I couldn't relate to but at least I know they are following their own advice.

I have told lots of people about sparkpeople- none of them seem to try it which I think is a shame- there is no program or diet you can find that gives us all these services and support and friendship for free. I don't know what I would do without it.

Ugh what an annoying day! Well done for being mature, at least if he's ignoring you he won't wind you up any more.

Good for you to speaking up for yourself. And from now on I would not talk to him or he could turn the tables on you.

Really a nutritionist that heavy!?! Maybe she needs to get herself on the internet and find out about SparkPeople B4 saying anything.

Keep up the good work and much success on your journey!
