Even though it was overcast and threatening to rain out, and it was only an easy run day not a training run, I still laced up my shoes and went. It did start to rain, but I ran 1.5miles before I stopped. That's 1.5miles more than I would have gotten had I not gone out. That's so much more than just that in terms of getting geared up and going out.

It was cold and raining. I decided it wasn't worth the strain on my already sensitive knees to push through today, so I stopped.

Do I wish I had gone longer? Maybe a little. But it is not worth an injury. So I'm accepting my lower calorie burn this morning, and just being happy I got out there at all. Besides, the run in the rain wasn't so bad. If I weren't worried about how tender my knees have been lately I would have pushed through and likely thoroughly enjoyed my run.

I woke up and chased my dream. That feels awesome.

I need to do more today. I know it. I'm thinking I'll see what my kids are up to this afternoon. Yesterday taking one of my kids on a nice long walk really helped with my calorie burn. Maybe we can do that again today. Guess we will see.

You are truly inspiring. I've taken to read your blogs when I'm kind of low in motivation!

Smart move to quit running when your body was telling you it had enough. Hopefully they can heal up a bit and get you back out on the road!

I know what you mean.... there is something about getting up and doing something that is always better than doing nothing.

U are right! Even if u go for a short walk or run it's farther then u would have gone if u chose not to go at all.
