Well, as I woke bright and early this a.m., I lay there tired and thinking, this isn't working!
What isn't working?
This diet.... yes it IS working.
This walking .... yes it IS working.
This prepping meals mostly in advance.... yes it IS working,
This drinking 3 cups of green tea.... yes it IS working.
DRinking lot of water...yes it IS working
Getting rid of 5 lbs this week.... yes it IS working.
but this sleeping, it IS NOT working... I am trying hard to be an early to bed early to rise person, but it would be different if I was actually sleeping.. Even with taking a sleeping pill, some nites I not only don't sleep... but wake up multiple times and can't get back to sleep. I think I have it figured out that I am waking sometime around when the sun gets up, so if I get to bed by 10 or 11, that would be ok, but not when I keep waking up....
So today, I decided I would get up instead of lying there thinking I will go back to sleep, because I won't... Maybe the solution might be to have an afternoon nap. I have always avoided them, because for years if I did happen to fall asleep after supper or something, I wouldn't sleep at nite... And also, my mother was chronically depressed when I was a child and slept soooooo much, it scares me. So, probably I have gone just the opposite.... Well, I need to refill sleeping pills today, I should talk to the pharmacist and see what he says..
But, on a positive note, Buddy and I did our 3 laps around today... maybe I should try for 3 laps for 2 days a week and 2 laps for the other 3 days and maybe a WATP at least once a week...
Breakfast - apple fresh greek yogurt, onions, red peppers omelette, strawberries and blueberries.
Lunch - home made soup & (to be cont.)
Supper - 3 chicken tenders, tomatoes
Snack - homemade soup, greek yogurt
