It's hot and humid with t'storms popping up out of nowhere. Week #3 of tropical weather here in the land of lake effect snow. I know I shouldn't complain when so many other folks could use this rain and others, just east of here, are literally underwater. But this oppressive humidity turns me into a slug.
Even Riley (who just turned 1 yo) isn't a fan even with his summer haircut. Our walks are down to a minimum. Can't even walk the beautiful tree-shaded paths because the mosquitoes are out in swarms. We head out in the early a.m. and get in at least a mile. I come home sweat-soaked and consider how many showers I want to take today.
On the brighter side, I may actually have a new streak going. Riley has made daily walks a part of our day. Got drinking lots of water down pat. Now I'm on day 3 of healthier eating. Working on making better choices first. Will work on portion size next. My biggest obstacle is feeling hungry and resisting the urge to fill up on anything or everything. Am searching for foods that satisfy that feeling. Anyone have any favs I can try... ??
