Day 8 I used my get out of jail card and the scale let me know it was not worth it!
Sigh!

Very frustrating that just a little indulging can mess up what I accomplished by eating well all week!

SO.....that shows that I better not use my other get out of jail card until my birthday...the rest of the challenge HAS to count otherwise I'm at risk of not reaping the benefits of disciplined, intentional eating for the 30 days.

I don't know if anyone else is the same, but my body is very unforgiving.

So it is back on track today, gluten free raisin toast for breakfast.
I think I will make a pot of soup for lunch.

Last night we had a very big thunder storm and parts of the city were without power for 3 hours and there was flooding. A commuter train was stuck in the rain and passengers had to be rescued by the marines. My neighbor got water in her basement, but thankfully we were okay and we did not lose power. I did get soaked taking the kids to piano lessons, but if that was the worst that happened then I was very blessed indeed.

Today is another hazy day and perhaps we will get another thunder storm this afternoon? They are predicting rain this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon!

LET US MAKE DAY 9 AN AWESOME ONE TOGETHER OK! emoticon

Great job all! I stayed strong with the sugar and did 15 minutes jump rope and 40 mins incline treadmill. Slept like a baby:)

Had a good day. Got the exercise done, survived a potluck and managed protein and veggies/ fruit, 5 servings- yay!
Planning on 8 hrs of z's and then ready for a new, even better day.
Hope the weather clears up for you. Flooding is devastating.
Our trip to Canada, Medicine Hat is cancelled. : (

Today went a whole lot better than yesterday and I stayed GLUTEN FREE! Whoo hoo!

Bread-less chicken burgers with pineapple for dinner and lunch was rice crackers and avocado guacomole and low sodium chips.

Never got around to making the soup!
Maybe tomorrow

Doing good so far today. I am substituting fruit for sweet cravings and having my piece of dark chocolate, while savoring my one cup of coffee. Today I worked in the garden for and hour and a half. Then I cleaned at a friends for an hour. I got home for lunch and was so ready for a break. Had a healthy lunch of veggies and rice, chapati and black bean salsa. Tonite is grilled chicken and salad.
Sounds like everyone is making headway, the scale isn't going down but I need to be more careful of portions. However, I am eating healthy and staying active.

Have a good day everyone! emoticon

I am constantly amazed by how much easier it is to gain than to lose!

Nutrition has been stellar! No soda, no white bread. I need to improve on the exercise. I've been weaning this week with nursing, so been a bit uncomfortable. Hope to be back in full force soon with exercise. Right now every move I make is painful, LOL!

Great job everyone!!

Good to hear you are OK. That sounds like quite
the thunderstorm. I find if I go a little over my
healthy eating, my body shows its displeasure.
i ahve been good today putting in nearly 13,00 steps.
I have had some peppermint tea but can't seem to
drink my water in this cold weather. Hope the tea
counts. I went back to work today after a 2 week
break It is good to have a routine again.
Have a great day..

I know how hard it is and frustrating when you work so hard for so long and than a momentary slip and it all goes away. lol This is true in many aspects of our lives. I did some overtime to make some extra money for vacation and on the last day of the job on my way home I got a ticket for going over the speed limit by 5 miles an hour. The ticket had to be paid the week before vacation and took the entire amount of overtime to pay it. UGH! The question here is did we learn from it? I hope so. Hugs and hugs!

    Glad you're OK
Another SP friend lives in Toronto, on the 25th Floor, and is without power and water, so she's staying home today with her dog

Aqua did not happen today - no-one else showed up, other than instructor, so we had a long chat, I walked instead and am out tonight with DS and his GF - going to see Jersey Boys - belated birthday gift. Food has been good today - leftovers of last night's salmon, with salad; yog with berries and seeds; etc.
