June Goal Results

June 2013 Goal Results:

1) Maintain my weight at +10 / -14 pounds
emoticon Met, back into the middle of my maintenance range

2) Maintain my budget and pay off 1 debts (revised)
emoticon On track

3) Finish my 1st Marathon
Cautiously restarting my training again, will see how July goes before signing up for a race

4) Resume saxophone playing and look for a band to join
emoticon Met

7) Improve sleep habits
emoticon Did not meet, only accomplished 52% for June. It is very easy to fall back into old bad habits!

8) Eliminate the Snooze
emoticon Met

9) Learn French
emoticon Still subjective and hard to quantify. Spent half the month in the US, but I did pick up my rental car and turn in my US driving license for exchange, with some (minimal) conversation in French.

10) Have fun and stress less; list other monthly mini-accomplishments
10a – FINALLY sewed the merit badges on my son’s new sash
10b – FINALLY sorted & started filing my ever-growing pile of papers
10c – got my annual check-ups, new glasses, saxophone fixed, personal trainer sessions
10d – mowed the lawn – with grass over a foot high in many places this was a real accomplishment!

11) Half Fanatic Moons
Cautiously restarting my training again, will see how July goes before signing up for any races and working on this goal

SCHEDULED GOALS (not yet in progress)
5) Travel
**5Q1 – met; Normandy, Paris, Compiegne & Oise area in January with my son
**5Q2 – met; Amsterdam
**5Q3 – will go to Bordeaux in August

6) Set Triathlon goal date, start training

    I love the way you listed your goals and the update on your progress. I need to get more organized. I know that writing the goals is a much bigger commitment. Thank you for motivating me. You are making GREAT progress.
