Maybe ten years ago my doctor recommended that I ride a stationary bike to strengthen my quads. He felt that would help me out with my knee trouble. My husband immediately got me a bike to ride, but it is just soooo boring! I can walk on my treadmill for hours and think nothing of it, but that bike just about drives me to the point of insanity. My treadmill gets used plenty but that bike just sits there, all lonely and sad. I know it would be good for me. So today, after I made sure that I got plenty of exercise, I got on the thing. I told myself that all I had to do was 10 minutes. And I did it. You best believe that when the timer said that time minutes was up, I flew off that thing! But I think I might make it a goal to ride it for ten minutes three days a week. It is easy, requires no special equipment (other than the bike) and ten minutes is very doable.
