I volunteered today

Monday, July 08, 2013

I went with my neighbors to Holy Family church this morning. I helped to assemble lunches for the homeless. I am not saying that I did anything special. I had a good time and it was fun meeting new people. I helped to put the sandwiches, cookies and chips into plastic bags. They have a good system of assembling the sandwiches and other items. One lunch for each person and a soda, water or juice. It depends on what is on hand. Some of the lunches are handed out at the church and some are transported to various areas in Omaha to where they are needed. My friend goes every Monday. The lunches are served Monday through Friday.

I did not swim today. I needed a break. I did use the recumbent bike for 25 minutes. I also was able to remember everything that I ate today and record it.
