Today I had my 5th session with my personal trainer. I love how this is making me feel stronger. She seems to know just how far to push me so that I'm working hard, but not in pain, or extremely sore after a workout. We're doing a lot of core work right now, and I'm happy about that. We did do a couple of exercises last week that reminded me about muscles I had totally forgotten existed in my lower abdomen. :)
I'm tracking my food most days, but I'm really having trouble getting my calories down low enough to do me any good with weight loss. Right now, I'm consoling myself with the thought that at least by tracking what I'm eating, I'm acknowledging everything that I'm putting into my body, rather than ignoring it. I'm hoping that I can make it a habit to track my food, and over time, get better and better about making good choices. I hope I'm not fooling myself. Surely not, if I keep at the tracking and exercise. Getting regular exercise almost always seems to naturally cause me eat better, for some reason. Maybe if I up the cardio exercise a little, that will kick in again.
