My Running Buddy

Monday, July 08, 2013

Just a reminder to be careful out in the heat!

My dog LOVES to go running with me, but things got a little scary this weekend. About half-way through one of our normal routes, it became quite clear that it is just too hot for my little buddy to be out there running any kind of significant distance. I ended up getting a great workout carrying my running buddy the last few miles. I guess she'll have to wait until fall to get back out on the longer runs with me!

Is she one of those golden retriever poodle mixes? She is stunning. What a cute dog. Thank you for sharing her picture.

i've got to think, if it's too hot for our dog, isn't it too hot for you to run safely?

She is adorable! I agree with her too, summer around here is too hot for running. I am doing lots of other cardio during the summer and I'll go back to running when it cools off because I don't have anyone to carry me home!

What a cute dog!!! Glad you were able to carry her. I'm an animal nut and really looking forward to the day next year when our local animal shelter moves from it's current location to the office about two miles from my house.

    Have a fantastic day!
