This is the Motivational saying from my Spark Coach today!
If we could all just do "ONE THING" each day that we are proud of, just think how much we could accomplish!
Sometimes, I think we try to do too much at once when we are trying to change our lifestyle! We jump in with both feet and try to change all of our bad habits in one day! And then we give up because it is too hard and we fail! That's why I love Spark People! here on SP we learn to make small changes each day that will put us on the path to a healthy lifestyle! I believe that setting a long list of goals is just setting yourself up to fail! Isn't that just what most of us have done, again and again? Making one mistake and quitting!?
That won't happen if you take it one step and one day at a time! Today, eat an extra fruit or veggie, tomorrow, drink an extra glass of water, etc. You know the saying " Slow and steady wins the race!"
It really works! And it is so motivating to see the small changes start to add up! No failure involved! We are winners!
Today, my one thing is that I add in some extra exercise! This is a big one for me and I am proud! What is your one thing today? Be proud of yourself for every effort that you make on this long journey to health and weight loss! You deserve it!
I AM GOING TO CATCH THAT RABBIT!
